Pumps, filters, chlorinators, heating — what each one does.

Pump & filter

The pump moves water through a filter (sand, glass media or cartridge). Variable-speed pumps cost more upfront but save on power.

Salt chlorinators make chlorine from salt. Mineral systems use magnesium blends for softer water. Both still need water balancing.

Heat pumps are the most efficient for Perth. Solar works well with enough roof space. Gas heats fastest but costs more to run.
